Managing Connecticut's Energy Costs
Current Problems
Connecticut residents pay nearly
twice
as much for electricity as residents in neighboring states
Nuclear power plant restriction - years ago there were 4 plants, now we have only 2
Supposedly "clean" alternatives have limited electricity output, forcing inflated prices for inadequate supply
People and businesses are fleeing our state due to these inflated costs, thus lowering the tax base!
What will Kathy do?
Push for revival of nuclear power
Promote clean energy sources that have high output and low cost
Work to reduce the state gasoline tax
